This program examines the use of over-the-counter medicines for children. Pharmacy and supermarket shelves are filled with choices for distressed parents, from decongestants and cough syrup to antihistamines, even though tests have proven that most of these remedies are no more effective than placebos. The program examines the use of these medications and the serious concerns of the medical community about their possible misuse. (13 minutes)
