Florida Alzheimer's Training
The following NEVCO programs are recognized by the State of Florida
Department of Elder Affairs as approved Alzheimer's curricula pursuant
to Sections 400.1755, 400.4785, 400.6034, 429.178 and 429.917 F.S.
- Home Health Alzheimer’s Disease and
Related Disorders

Program Code: ADRD2
Satisfies course requirements pursuant to Section Rule 58A-8.001 and 8.002, F.A.C
Approval Number: HH AD 89
Expires: 8/15/2010
When conducted by a DOEA approved Home Health training provider in a classroom setting, this program meets Florida 2-hour Home Health course requirements as follows:
- Learning objectives and review of key terms: 20 minutes
- Pre-test and discussion: 20 minutes
- Video running time: 90 minutes
- Post-test and discussion: 20 minutes
- Discussion questions: 30 minutes
- Alzheimer’s Disease: Is It Delirium or
Dementia?

Program Code: ADL1
Satisfies course requirements pursuant to Rule 58A-4.001, 400.1755 FS
Approval Number: NH AD 058
Expires: 10/18/2008
When conducted by a DOEA approved Nursing Home training provider in a classroom setting, this program meets Florida 1-hour Nursing Home course requirements as follows:
- Learning objectives and review of key terms: 10 minutes
- Pre-test: 10 minutes
- Video running time: 20 minutes
- Post-test and discussion: 20 minutes
- Alzheimer’s Disease for ALF’s: Level 1

Program Code: ADL1A
Satisfies course requirements pursuant to Rule 58A-5.0191, 429.178 FS
Approval Number: ALF AD 11

When conducted by a DOEA approved ALF training provider in a classroom setting, this program meets Florida Level I requirements for ALFs (4 contact hours) as follows:
- Learning objectives and review of key terms: 30 minutes
- Pre-test and discussion: 30 minutes
- Video running time: 90 minutes
- Post-test and discussion: 30 minutes
- Discussion questions: 60 minutes
PLEASE NOTE:
In order for these programs to meet Florida course requirements, the
curriculum must be presented by a training provider approved by the
State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs. A list of approved training
providers can be found on the USF Training Academy on Aging website,
